The RICS Australia Award Ceremony was held last night (June 1, 2017) in Melbourne.  We at MBM are thrilled that our Mike O’ Shea, Associate Director, was recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors ) Australia Award recognizes those who demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism in the industry.

Mike O’ Shea said, “I am humbled and grateful. It is a huge honor to receive this award.” Mike O’Shea entered the industry in the 1970s and is recognized by colleagues, peers and clients as a very talented, extremely capable, and highly intelligent professional. Mike commenced his career in London, five years in the Netherlands working on major oil and gas projects and then a subsequent move to Australia, where he has worked tirelessly and without interruption as a highly respected Quantity Surveyor. Along the way Mike has not only led highly successful businesses and teams,  but has inspired and guided new generations of quantity surveyors and worked tirelessly as a champion for the profession. Mike says “The foundation of my professionalism comes from the guidance and values instilled by my parents, and I am proud to see a new generation of also committed to promoting professionalism in the sector.”

“Mike’s contributions and accomplishments have consistently shaped the industry and the community around him for the better. He has created a strong legacy of achievement that he continues to build upon every day, “David Pearson, CEO MBM.

We at MBM are very proud and privileged to have Mike as part of our extensive team and thank RICS for recognising his achievements. We would also like to congratulate our two shortlisted teams for the RICS 2017 Awards - Building Consultancy Team of the Year  and Quantity Surveying Team of the Year.
