MBMpl Pty Ltd (MBM) is a national independent Australian owned property consultancy providing Quantity Surveying, Building Consultancy, Tax & Asset Services, PPP Advisory, Infrastructure, Facilities Management Advisory and Expert Witness services.

Position Description:

With supervision provision of Tax Depreciation and Asset Advisory services including:

  • Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation, disposing of fixed assets
  • Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts and capitalize upon completion
  • Investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets
  • Maintenance of fixed asset registers to ensure all assets are recorded
  • Balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
  • Prepare property tax returns
  • Tax depreciation schedules
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Consult to clients regarding fixed asset practices
  • Develop client policies and procedures
  • Keep up-to-date with industry best practice
  • Prepare capital gains tax calculations
  • Fixed asset accounting advice as required

 

Personal Requirements:

·       Experience working in the fixed asset field (Desirable)

·       Degree in Accounting

·       Strong verbal and written communications skills

·       Active participation in the firm

·       Team player with a proactive approach

·       Attention to detail

·       Ability to multi task and effectively manage your own workflow

·       Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
