Golfing for a good cause

AuthorPaul Janes

MBM continued its support for the INTREC annual golf day where all proceeds raised are donated to the Bear Cottage (an initiative at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead). Beautiful weather and  the picturesque Killara Gold Club, attracted more than 145 keen golfers for an 18-hole Ambrose event.  MBM golfers included  Directors, Michael Ross and  Paul Janes and Associate Directors, Richard Smith and Luke Foster.

MBM sponsored the 14th hole with an  English theme “Jingle Bell Ball Toss” providing golfers with some refreshing English Pimms and crisps to provide attendees with much needed sustenance. MBM also ran a game of pub darts and helped to raise an additional $150 for Bear cottage.  A big congratulations to the winners of the MBM dart challenge :

1st place Simon Alford (Aveo),
Bruce Van Niekerk (Macroplan),
Paul Skinner (Rider Levett Bucknall),
Craig Jones (Vaughn Constructions)

“A fun day had by all and MBM is proud to continue its association with the INTREC annual golf day especially when supporting such a worthy cause” said Director, Paul Janes.
