As part of our ongoing Owners Corporation Network (OCN) partnering MBM recently provided a technical overview of 10 - year Capital Works Funds and the legislative requirements surrounding these, common shortfalls in existing capital plans and guidance around best practice approaches ultimately resulting in informed planning and better outcomes
This session was attended by around 70 Strata Committee key decision makers interested in ensuring that their committee in adhering to the recently released Legislation relating to residential strata communities. The Strata Schemes Management Act 2015 (SSMA) stipules that 10 - year Capital Works Funds are required to be reviewed on an annual basis with a focus on good planning around establishing well-considered levies for the lot owners.
