MBM are engaged as Cost managers through the Delivery Phases. Services include cost planning and estimating through the detailed design and construction documentation phases, value engineering, procurement strategy advice, progress valuations, variation assessment and final account negotiation. Major upgrade of hospital services providing new build and refurbishment of several departments including surgical IPU, ED, Ambulatory, Renal, Cath Lab, ICU, HDU and CCU as well as associated decanting, demolition and site works. Total redevelopment area is approximately 18,000m2.
Key aspects associated with this project included: Regional location and local market differences, maintenance of hospital services throughout project without interruption and use of alternative construction methods to speed up construction (modular, pre fabrication)
