Total Asset Management Plan – 10 Year Capital Works Estimates
MBM have been involved with the Department of Parliamentary Services at NSW Parliament house since 2015. Originally MBM priced and estimated all works highlighted and associated with the 10Year Total Asset Management (TAM) plan produced by Parliament House.
This TAM Plan outlined various works required throughout the facility ranging from Critical Maintenance works, DDA Accessibility upgrade works, BCA compliance upgrade works and general workplace refurbishment. Virtually all projects contained significant heritage and staging components due to the historical importance and operational requirements of the facility. Since the development of the original 10 Year TAM Plan all works have been classified and categorised into various levels of prioritisation and importance.
This categorisation formed the basis of an overall delivery strategy and MBM has since assisted the Department of Parliamentary services (which is essentially their FM branch) in providing Capital works estimates required for treasury submissions and following this providing cost advice throughout the procurement and delivery of the majority of their capital works projects. MBM provided full quantity surveying services and general cost advice.
