MBM was engaged to provide expert cost planning services for one of Australia’s largest urban renewal project, the Green Square mixed-use development.

Located just over four kilometres south of Sydney’s CBD and with direct access to Green Square train station, the development redefines urban living and working spaces. Upon completion, it will feature over 1,400 apartments, complemented by office and retail spaces and an expansive public domain within the Green Square Town Centre.

The project included the demolition of an existing hardstand to construct 260 residential units across three towers, ranging from 13 to 21 storeys. In addition to residential spaces, the development will incorporate communal amenities, ground-floor retail, commercial offices on levels 2 to 6, and a shared four-storey basement for parking and storage.

Executive Quantity Surveyor Steven Aung led MBM’s contributions on the project. Steven optimised project value and ensured the budget align with the developer’s objectives without compromising on quality. His management of cost efficiencies supported the seamless integration of residential, commercial, and public spaces, and enhanced the functionality and appeal of the Green Square development.
