We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Asset Management Advisor to join our team at the Sydney office. This role is pivotal in supporting our team with the delivery of comprehensive property consultancy services, contributing to our continued growth and success.

At Asset Management Advisor level your role will include but not be limited to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborative Delivery: Work closely with colleagues to provide outstanding quantity surveying services that meet client needs and align with MBM’s quality standards.
  • Cost Management: Oversee cost planning, estimation, and ongoing cost management for a variety of property and infrastructure projects.
  • Detailed Reporting: Prepare accurate cost reports, tender documentation, and financial analyses to support decision-making and project delivery.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct financial feasibility studies and value engineering to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved outcomes.
  • Expert Advisory: Provide strategic advice on procurement strategies, contractual matters, and risk management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and MBM’s internal policies.

 

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2–4 years of experience working as a client-side Asset Management Advisor in Australia.
  • Project Delivery: Demonstrated experience providing full project services for major property and infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CostX and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Accreditation: Accreditation with an industry body such as FMA, IFMA, IAM, IPWEA, RICS, or AIQS.
  • Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on professionalism and clarity.
  • Analytical Abilities: Advanced analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional client-facing and relationship management skills.

  • Team Player: Strong organisational skills and an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to manage deadlines and work across multiple projects simultaneously.
