About the Role

MBM is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Advisor to join our Perth team. This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of high-quality property consultancy services, with a focus on cost management and quantity surveying for major projects. As part of our growing Perth office, you will contribute to MBM’s continued success by providing expert advice, fostering strong client relationships, and delivering exceptional results.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborative Delivery: Work closely with colleagues to provide outstanding quantity surveying services that meet client needs and align with MBM’s quality standards.
  • Cost Management: Oversee cost planning, estimation, and ongoing cost management for a variety of property and infrastructure projects.
  • Detailed Reporting: Prepare accurate cost reports, tender documentation, and financial analyses to support decision-making and project delivery.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct financial feasibility studies and value engineering to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved outcomes.
  • Expert Advisory: Provide strategic advice on procurement strategies, contractual matters, and risk management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and MBM’s internal policies.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2–4 years of experience working as a client-side Quantity Surveyor in Australia.
  • Project Delivery: Demonstrated experience providing full project services for major property and infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CostX and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Professional Accreditation: Corporate membership or working towards accreditation with AIQS or RICS.
  • Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on professionalism and clarity.
  • Analytical Abilities: Advanced analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional client-facing and relationship management skills.
