The Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Mental Health Redevelopment involves upgrading the existing mental health facilities and building a new mental health unit.
This consists of the construction of a 47-bed secure ward, therapy rooms, family meeting areas, gym facility, courtyards and on-site parking for 155 cars. MBM has been working with the client from Concept Design stage through to Post Occupancy evaluation. The Unit was opened in June 2013. MBM has offered a holistic approach to cost planning and reporting focusing on the overall project cost from inception through to final completion. MBM focused not just on the facility’s construction, but also master planning, staff decanting, council and health facility fees as well as staging, relocations and commissioning. MBM’s diligent budget monitoring ensured the project was delivered within budget.
