The Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Precinct Development project (MMEPD) aims to improve the access and facilities of Willis Annexe and the Mechanical Engineering Building on University Mall.
These buildings encompass the consistent architectural language of 1960s and it is the first time they have been the subject of a major capital renewal project. Scheduled for completion in 2015. MBM were able to complete detailed cost plans at an early stage of the design phase based on minimal documentation in order to identify key cost issues as early as possible. By working closely with the design team and implementing a value engineering process, MBM were able to provide a high level of cost certainty on this challenging and complex project, ensuring value for money for UNSW without compromising on quality.
