Westpac Branch Rollout
Westpac Retail & Business Banking (Westpac RBB) is responsible for sales and services of its 6.2 million consumers, small-to-medium enterprise customers and commercial customers in Australia under the ‘Westpac’ brand.
Activities are conducted through Westpac RBB’s nationwide network of 840 branches and 70 business banking centres, home finance managers and specialised consumer and business relationship managers, with the support of cash flow, financial markets and wealth specialists, customer service centres, 2,029 automatic teller machines (ATMs) and internet channels.MBM was first appointed in 2007 to develop the capital works budget for the national roll out of new branch designs to all existing and new branches.Since MBM’s initial appointment, we have assisted WBC in developing and standardising the cost model for their ‘Branch of the Future’ design which has now evolve into their ‘Bank Now’ roll out.
Since 2007, MBM have successfully assisted WBC in developing the initial budget, cost management during design development, tender review and assessment of variations during construction of over 200 Retail and Business Banking branches. Due to the success of our cost management framework, MBM’s roll has evolved into one of reviewing the contractors tender submission based on MBM developed template and prior negotiated rates on most architectural items as well as services components of the fitout including security, AV and IT.
