We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at the Sydney office. This role is pivotal in supporting our team with the delivery of comprehensive property consultancy services, contributing to our continued growth and success.

Responsibilities and Duties

Technical Requirements

Pre-Contract: Under supervision, you will be responsible for the preparation of various pre-contract documents and analyses, including but not limited to:

  • Initial budgets and benchmarking
  • Elemental and trade-based cost plans
  • Bills of quantities
  • Pre-tender estimates
  • Tender analysis
  • Bank reports
  • Providing tender methodology advice
  • Adding value to the client’s brief and constructively challenging the client’s perspective when appropriate
  • Value engineering
  • Other tasks as required

Post-Contract: With supervision, you will prepare and manage post-contract documentation and assessments, including but not limited to:

  • Progress claim recommendations
  • Bank draw-down reports
  • Cost reports and cash flows
  • Variation valuations
  • Other tasks as required

Meetings:

  • Attend all required meetings.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience working in Australia as a client-side Quantity Surveyor.
  • Project Experience: Proven experience in providing a full range of project services for major projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using CostX and Excel.
  • Accreditation: Corporate membership or candidates working towards accreditation with AIQS or RICS are preferred.
  • Communication: High-level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional client-facing and interpersonal skills.
