We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor Tax to join our team at the Sydney office. This role is pivotal in supporting our team with the delivery of comprehensive property consultancy services, contributing to our continued growth and success.

At Senior Tax Quantity Surveyor level your role will include but not be limited to:

  • Undertaking client engagements
  • Ensuring engagements are undertaken efficiently and in budget
  • Making sure that MBMs work in carried out in accordance with our Quality Assurance requirements
  • Overseeing the quality of the work undertaken by junior staff
  • Representing and promoting MBM in the market
  • Assisting with Business Development activities including preparing fee proposals

Qualifications and Skills:

    • Citizenship: Must be an Australian Citizen or hold Permanent Residency.
    • Education: Hold a degree in Construction Management or a related field.
    • Experience:4-6 years of experience in Quantity Surveying roles, particularly in capital allowances (tax depreciation) or similar.
    • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and capable of using CostX and Buildsoft.
    • Accreditation: AIQS/MRICS qualified or working towards it is beneficial but not essential. Registered Tax Agent is also beneficial but not essential.
    • Communication Skills: Strong numerical literacy, verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
    • Learning Attitude: A desire to learn quickly, take feedback constructively, and apply new knowledge.
    • Professionalism: Demonstrate a professional attitude and the ability to work independently.
    • Organizational Skills: High level of personal organization and time management.
