The Darling Hotel

Brand new 6-Star Hotel and Entertainment facility consisting of 80 Suites, function and event areas, rooftop pool, spa and gym, gaming zones, restaurants and bars and associated back-of-house works including a link to the existing property.

The proposed site was in a relatively inaccessible portion of the island and the works also included a new bridge and connection to the Gold Coast Highway.  Coupled with the Hotel and Casino being a 24-hour hospitality venue in the heart of the Broadbeach tourist zone, this made the build very complicated. The Head Contractor’s contract includes Fixed Price, GMP and Provisional sums. MBM worked in close collaboration with the design team and the client through the procurement and delivery process to ensure that the budgets established were accurate whilst being robust enough to accommodate the unique challenges facing this project.

MBM provided the full suite of Quantity Surveying services during the post-contract phase of the development, including cost planning, adjustment of provisional sums, detailed financial reporting as well as assessment of builder’s monthly progress claims and variations.
