ASSOCIATE – QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Andrew Butler

Transurban Queensland (TQ) currently occupies four (4) building across Brisbane, which are either commercially leased or part of asset concession agreements.

Over the last several months the Project team has been investigating a long-term accommodation solution that is commercially viable as well as meeting the business’s requirements and strategy for the next 10+ years.

These building are :

  • Corporate Office and Traffic Control Room – 7 Brandl Street, Eight Mile Plains, QLD, 4113 – (commercial lease)
  • Airport Link Operations Centre (ALOC), 1 Clarence Road, Kedron, QLD, 4031 (concession)
  • Clem 7 Traffic Control Room, 82 Campbell Street, Bowen Hills, Qld, 4006 (concession)
  • Legacy Way Traffic Control Room, 45 O’Connell Terrace, Bowen Hills, QLD, 4006 (commercial lease)

The proposed solution recommends that the current lease for 7 Brandl Street is not extended and that TQ move to a CBD based location, with some key operational functions moving to ALOC and that both ALOC and Clem7 are upgraded to the Transurban aesthetic. ALOC will also require additional upgrading to accommodate the requirements of the key operational functions. The lease ends at 7 Brandl Street and Legacy Way will require a make good as specified in the respective lease documents or agreed by the landlords for these premises. MBM completed full quantity surveying services from concept to completion.
