The Griffith Base Hospital Redevelopment (GBHR) is a major health infrastructure project in the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD), aimed at delivering modern, integrated, and expanded health services for the growing regional community.
The redevelopment includes:
- New buildings and refurbishment of existing hospital infrastructure
- Expanded inpatient, surgical, ambulatory care, and critical care services
- Consolidation of ageing, disconnected buildings into a single, modern, and highly functional facility
This upgrade is one of the highest priorities on MLHD’s asset strategy, and it is central to strengthening the role of Griffith Health Service (GrHS) as a key regional health provider.
The project is being delivered in multiple stages.
