The City of Fremantle has approved an Australian-first golfing experience to transform the Fremantle Public Golf Course. In partnership with Belgravia Leisure and LaunchPad, the business plan for the 9-hole course incorporates a multi-level driving range set to broaden the sport’s reach to new users. The revitalised green will combine traditional golf elements with technology for a sociable and immersive entertainment setting.

Integrating with the neighbouring Booyeembara Park, the development will enhance facilities and strengthen connectivity to the Boo Park Mountain Bike trail. The project will also benefit Fremantle and its surrounding communities by increasing demand for local services and businesses as outlined in the initial proposal.

Led by Associate Nigel Ho and supported by Quantity Surveyor Sue Shi, the MBM team assisted with the creation of a business plan for the proposed green. The scope of services included the preparation of a concept cost plan for proposed work to the Pro Shop, new driving range and works to existing greens.

Nigel Ho noted the team’s delight on contributing to an Australian-first recreational experience. We’re excited about Belgravia’s initiative at the Fremantle Public Golf Course, which will both amplify community recreational activities and further shape Fremantle as a premier destination. The ongoing development holds promise for the future of golfing in Australia and we’re eagerly anticipating the project’s completion.
