State-wide health services agency, Health Infrastructure NSW, continues to make strides towards the 2025 solutions delivery strategy with the redevelopment of Bathurst Health Services. The milestone $200m project will better support meeting the diverse health requirements of the Central West region going into the future. The development promotes Bathurst Hospital as a regional hub for medical care.

MBM Directors James Larkin and Stoyan Dimitrov, along with Senior Quantity Surveyor Joe Kenny, are spearheading the provision of cost management expertise across multiple project phases. As leaders in health project delivery, their team is overseeing the cost management of the proposed expansion while holding patient-centric outcomes as the focus. MBM’s in-depth understanding of Health Infrastructure’s development complexities ensures tailored guidance throughout the full scope of phases – from project initiation to the post-completion warranty period.

James Larkin echoed sentiments held across the company in an expression of gratitude for the team’s opportunity and position to advise across the redevelopment. The project team is excited to be enabling the improvements that will ultimately raise the standards of clinical services for the regional population. I am thrilled to play a role in a project that gives back to the residents of Bathurst and the surrounding communities, who will soon be able to receive first-class care as close to home as possible.

The Bathurst Health redevelopment will be rolled out in phases to ensure the hospital remains operational for staff and patients. Construction is expected to begin in 2025.
