Salter Brothers, an Australian-based fund management company, recently acquired a portfolio of luxury holdings from Escarpment Group. The seven-property investment strengthens the firm’s strategic position in the Australian luxury retreat market and positively contributes to regional tourism opportunities. Led by David Shlom, Stephanie Gao, and Kenny Toplis, MBM delivered high-level replacement cost estimates for the reinstatement of buildings throughout the Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley.
The procurement includes diverse fixed assets across regional New South Wales ranging from luxury hotels spanning over 237 rooms, to ‘hatted’ restaurants, lodges, resorts, and spas. MBM completed comprehensive assessments of the Lilianfels Resort and Spa, Hydro Majestic Hotel, Echoes Boutique Hotel, Parklands Country Gardens and Lodges, Clear Mountain Lodge, Milton Park Country House Hotel, and the Convent Hunter Valley. Additionally, our tax and asset team are delivering financial services for the acquisition led by Brisbane-based Associate Director Luke Anthony.
The full scope of services provided by MBM‘s national team includes:
- A replacement cost analysis inclusive of seven regional properties
- Value management services
- Site inspections and due diligence
- Consultations for the creation of cost plans
- Tax depreciation services
- The preparation of asset registers
Director David Shlom was excited to play an essential role in the project team and stated “It was such a great opportunity to work on this milestone project for Salter Brothers. By providing our services in cost estimation and value management, we assisted in a successful acquisition and fantastic portfolio expansion across New South Wales that will ultimately contribute to growth for our client and the local economy.”
The seven boutique properties offer unmatched experiences in some of Australia’s most sought after destinations. We are delighted to continue our work with Salter Brothers and look forward to further supporting the development of their expanding portfolio.
