Project Challenges

  • Allianz Charlestown: The completion of the base building has been delayed, largely due to inclement weather, which has affected the fit-out construction programme for the Charlestown office.
  • Allianz Brisbane: Just a few weeks before PC, the office had to deal with some flooding due to a burst pipe. This affected the PC date which had to be pushed back as a result of the flooding.
  • Allianz Darwin: Due to Darwin’s geography and its proximity to Indonesia, any new structural walls had to meet seismic requirements / standards.

MBM Solutions

  • Allianz Charlestown: Help the client calculate the costs associated with the delay of the base building and any rental credits that can be applied in order to be fairly compensated.
  • Allianz Brisbane: Assist with preparing a flood claim for insurance purposes in order to rectify the problem as soon as possible to minimise disruption to the programme.
  • Allianz Darwin: Get input from the structural engineer and factor in the seismic requirements into our estimate.
