The Bathurst Health Service Redevelopment is a major investment in expanding and modernising health care for the Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD). The project focuses on upgrading and extending existing facilities to better meet the growing health needs of the Bathurst region and surrounding rural communities.
Key components of the redevelopment include:
- Expansion of acute inpatient services
- Enlargement of the Emergency Department (ED)
- Upgrades to Ambulatory Care, Rehabilitation, Pre-operative Services, and Diagnostic Services
- Improved infrastructure designed to deliver patient- and resident-focused care
- A health facility with high functional efficiency, tailored to the needs of a regional and rural environment
This redevelopment supports WNSWLHD’s long-term vision to keep people healthier in their communities, and to provide integrated, high-quality, and accessible clinical care.
