Project Background and Scope
Grant Lodge is a residential aged care unit within Bracchus Marsh that currently holds up to 30 beds with shared resident bedrooms and bathrooms. The refurbishment includes potential extension due to the age of the facility and compliance issues that have been identified, diminishing the quality of living for occupants. The project looks to modernise the facility and move away from two and four-bed shared rooms to single rooms inclusive of ensuite.
Project Challenges
The requirement for the works to be staged, decanted, and general disruption to occupants due to noise and reconfiguration posed significant challenge to delivery and had to be considered in development options.
