Project Background and Scope

The project consists of the refurbishment and major extension of a new combined Police and Services facility, to replace the existing Police Station in Liverpool, NSW. Comprised of 3 levels and over 5,000m2, the station utilises state of the Art security and surveillance equipment. The building includes prisoner cells, gym, surveillance area, basement carpark, office space and secure corridors as well as offices and general police quarters.
MBM were able to draw on relevant project experience from the corrective services sector in order to provide a high level of cost certainty through the various stages of this complex project. The unconventional method of mixing new build and refurbishment had an impact on costs. This experience will be a benefit on the proposed Gunnedah project. MBM also relied on its keen knowledge of government construction contracts in order to administer post contract issues and help
