The Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust (SCGT), Australian Rugby Union (ARU) and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in partnership with the Australian Government and NSW State Government, are delivering the Australian Rugby Development Centre (ARDC), a world-class sporting, education and community hub at Moore Park.

In an Australian first the ARDC will bring together elite athletes, a high-performance training facility, sector-leading sports scientists, UTS students and the community within Australia’s leading sports and entertainment precinct. The ARDC will include purpose-built UTS research and teaching laboratories for sport and exercise science and management courses, a high performance facility for the Qantas Wallabies, Wallaroos, national Qantas Men’s and Women’s Sevens teams, junior development squads and Indigenous rugby, a cafe which can be utilised by the community and ARDC visitors, community groups & grass root teams facilities and two indoor training halls as well as a rooftop running track. The ARDC has been designed by Populous, the company behind ANZ Stadium, Dunedin’s Forsyth Barr Stadium and the London 2012 Olympic Stadium.

MBM has worked with ARU and UTS since concept stage managing and providing advice during design stages, main contract stages, including value management processes ensuring value for money within the budget parameters.  The project is based on a fixed lump sum for the base building but construction management procurement methods for the fitout portions.
