Our role also covers progress claim assessments, variation advice, meetings and ongoing cost management support throughout delivery..

Project Background and Scope

Waverley Council, in partnership with Bronte Surf Life Saving Club, is delivering a new modern and sustainable surf club and community facility. With over 1,900 members, the Club plays a vital role in lifesaving, training, equipment storage and first aid, but the existing building is no longer fit for purpose. The redevelopment will provide upgraded female and male facilities, family change rooms and accessible amenities, as well as improved lifeguard and lifesaving spaces with adequate storage and training areas. The project also includes upgrades to the adjoining promenade and facility block and rebuilding the seawall due to rise in sea levels.

Project Challenges

Sand ground condition, seawall and so close to the ocean we needed to consider appropriate structural support. The existing building that is proposed to be demolished was built on top of the existing SLSC which was burnt down

MBM Solutions

Had to engage with the structural engineer to determine the best possible outcome
