Helga leads the firm’s quantity surveying division across Australia utilising more than 30 years of international industry experience.

As MBM’s Equity Director and National Head of Quantity Surveying, Helga provides strategic cost management and contractual guidance to clients for major public and private sector construction projects. She adeptly navigates project budgets throughout the design, tender, and construction stages. Helga has developed specialisations across all aspects of quantity surveying including whole of life cost analysis, operational expenditure, and expert witness matters. Her expertise has been instrumental in steering the success of diverse developments across sectors, while her project portfolio showcases an affinity for unique heritage, arts, and culture projects.

Helga’s professional qualifications and affiliations include being recognised as a corporate and certified member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MAIQS), her position as a chartered member and assessor for the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), and her corporate membership in the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). Helga robustly supports the broader construction industry by imparting knowledge through mentoring and training initiatives. Her contributions also extend to serving as a key member of external advisory committees and representing the AIQS in formal discussions with government departments. Through her roles, Helga advocates for innovation, sustainability, diversity, and ethical practices in the construction sphere.
