An international religious organisation appointed MBM for the review of cultural infrastructure across Australia and the Asia Pacific region. MBM provided comprehensive building condition due diligence reports together with 10-year capital expenditure and maintenance forecasts. As part of this assessment, MBM conducted site inspections across eight properties located in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Auckland, and Taiwan. The assessment spanned across the organisation’s administrative offices, heritage assets, educational training facilities, residential accommodation, and essential spaces that serve the congregation and community.

- Building Condition Due Diligence reporting
- Comprehensive building structure, fabric and finishes reviews
- Electrical, fire, mechanical, hydraulic and vertical transport services assessments
- 10-year capital expenditure and maintenance forecasts
The portfolio consisted of inspections across eight sites which included multi storey assets, period properties, converted warehouse structures and commercial CBD assets. Additionally, CCTV drainage surveys and drone inspections were utilised during the inspections to provide detailed visual assessments of hard-to-reach and inaccessible areas, ensuring accurate identification of key issues and allowing for a comprehensive analysis of the property’s drainage infrastructure.
Led by Director Alan Stewart, and assisted by Associate Steven Cardwell, Executive Building Consultant Lewis Wilkinson, in addition to Senior Building Consultants Gabi Davies and Callum Webb, the team worked to deliver the due diligence report. Alan noted, “Working across Australia, New Zealand, and Taiwan was an exciting opportunity. The team have put in a lot of work, and we are enthusiastic about the scope of services provided.”
The enhancements will ensure the longevity of the assets, with some being historical landmark buildings dating from the early 1900s.
